When I Grow Up....

Everyone dreams to be a star when they were still a child ,and me too wants to be a star.We see how Glamorous celebrities are and the fame the got on the surface but what are the stories behind close door? I once entered a competition which could be the first step into all this fame but thank God that when i was in the finals, i could not deliver my lines well . I will not go into in what really happened but i know that if i won the competition , certainly i would be called again for advertisement or other acting opportunities . I guess the time is not right yet or maybe this is not in God's plan ,however, i am glad that God showed me partially his plan for me,that is to become a light in my school.I still remember in one of our youth service, a speaker came and did a very prophetic act -washing our feet, like how Jesus washed his disciple's feet.
Then he prophesies for each and every one. When it is my turn , he laid his hand on my forehead and told me that i am to go into my school and share the gospel and become a light in there.The first thing i told God "what ?! God are you serious ? that place is where i got hurt the most and you tell me to go there ?!!!"  Then God speaks to me through the Holy spirit -" be faithful in it and i am here with you,don't be afraid "
I was like going-"aww~" then i told God okay i will try.
And today when i was doing my daily devotion, the topic was  MAN OF GOD.
after i read it i was wowed by it as it is not easy, especially now in the end times where temptations are every where. The moment you turn on the TV,computer or even just use a application in your phone, you see images , music , celebrities and all the stuff which could have made you fallen into the traps of the devil.
in first 1 Timothy 6:11-16,20-21 , Paul tells us the characteristics that marks out a man of God.
Then God made me realize that what i need to do is not to become famous in the world, but to become a woman of God, living a separate live from others for Him only.
I really hope that i could live out 1 Timothy 6:11-16,20-21 as i really want to be faithful in the task he has given me as i i do not want to live for the world's expectation but God's expectation as he is the one who is in control of my life .
"From now on , Lord , i want to be like Timothy, a man of  God ."
